Celebrate World Ocean Day With Us!

On World Ocean Day, we would like to celebrate our passion for the ocean. 

As one of the largest groups of physical oceanographers in the Southern Hemisphere, we are passionate about science, the ocean and creating meaningful solutions for our clients, partners and community. 

We work to advance our knowledge and develop bespoke solutions carefully designed by our scientists to support marine operations.  

Our expertise, experience at sea and connection to the ocean guide us to produce cutting-edge, innovative products, services and scientific research. Driven by our passion, our unique combination of strong science and technical skills allow us to innovate, challenge the status quo and push the boundaries in our quest to connect people to the marine weather information that matters to them. 

We recently released the Point Forecast API, making accurate ocean, terrestrial and atmospheric data for anywhere in the world easily available. Our API transforms complex weather data into easily consumed formats – and you can request data for any point on the globe you want information for. It is tailored to your needs - from global forecast models to local high-resolution domains inside ports and harbours.  

Forecast data helps users avoid weather surprises and optimise their operations for the conditions at hand. MetOcean Solutions has over 15 years of experience providing marine weather data for a suite of near- and offshore locations. We support clients from fields as diverse as coastal management, offshore renewable energy, ports and maritime sectors, defense and offshore oil and gas.
